Posting From Savannah

Look at who we met on the street yesterday!!

I know the picture is tiny but I don't know how to make it bigger.

Paul and I were walking down the street and coming towards us was

Jamie Deen!!

Any time in my life that I've ever seen a celebrity I just look a little and keep walking. Yesterday I couldn't help myself. Nobody else was around and he was walking 10 inches away!!

I said, "I just have to say HI!" He said, "Oh hey hon, how ya doing?"

Now I've told you my husband doesn't see that great? He thought we were seeing a friend or something. He was going to start talking.

I said, "We ate at your restaurant yesterday and it was wonderful." Now at this time I'm having a heart attack because I touched him on the arm. I'm thinking he's probably wanting to call the police about this stalker.

I started walking away but Jamie was friendly and was talking to Paul a little.

As soon as we walked away I said, "You know I will have to blog about this!"

So my friends, now you have heard all about my brush with fame!!

Now we are off to get in line at The Lady & Sons again. Be back in a few days. :)

Oh, no you didn't! You sure you're not pulling one over on us, Stacey? That is unreal! I would have made the biggest fool out of myself! Wish you would have snapped a picture of the two of you chatting! Of course, he might have called the cops at that point! LOL! I am so bothered! Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Well, what do you know! I don't think I've ever met a real celebrity. Good you thought quick on your feet and stopped your hubby before he got going. He might have started talking about OSU or something Jamie didn't know anything about. That's what mine would have done, except you'd have to take the "S" out of OSU! You guys have lots of fun. No telling who you're going to run into next!

I'm sitting in a hotel in Jacksonville. We were suppose to spend tonight in Savannah (on the way back from Disney). Had I known you would be there, I would have made a point to get there & meet you. I hope you're having a great time. I don't know if we're going to have time to stop there (BOO HOO), so PLEASE enjoy it for me! :O)

Wow, that is so awesome! I can't imagine how excited you were to actually meet him! What a highlight of your trip. Paula often is in the restaurant too. Once we were there and they said she had just left (just missed her!) Who knows, maybe you will have a sighting of her too. Sounds like you are having a fabulous time on your trip! Amy :)

Well what a fun memory. I'm glad he was so nice and friendly. I've met some celebrities who are much different off screen than they are on! Glad to hear he's making his mama proud.
