Time to Roll the Dice

It's Bunco night!

Girls, if you don't play..you should. It's a completely mindless game. We laugh, talk, drink a little wine, counsel each other...it's girl time!

Our group has been together a long time. We've been through births, deaths, divorces, marriages, you name it! In the beginning we all lived in the same neighborhood but now we are all over town. Truthfully, we don't see each other that much because we are all in different places doing different things at this point. But we are great friends and we are there for each other. We play the first Monday of each month

In our group we have a few snacks while playing and at half time we have dessert. I'm serving spinach dip with crackers, Chex mix, and chocolate cake. Oh, I need to go get some M&Ms.

We play for money. Shh don't tell. Five dollars each goes in the kitty and it's divided between the person with the most wins and the person with the most Buncos.

There is a prize for the person who gets the last Bunco of the evening. This cute little cloche and stand is the prize.

We had a group that played, and it got very large then fizzled. I think it would be fun to do again. How many of you play? That cloche will be a great prize! Have fun! Jackie

Morning Stacey, It was thirty degrees this morn, but by Wed we will be 80. I belong to 2 bunco groups and you are right, it is mindless but loads of fun. My goats are doing great right now, a little grass is coming up and they have a good roll of hay and we feed every few days. Roy says they are spoiled...watch my blog for that sign. I have two friends coming today to help decorate the house for Easter...? Great friends.
I have another friend I haven't seen in 20 years coming to visit in about three weeks. Wish you lived closer, you would love my decorating friends,,,we have a great time doing it.
Talk to you soon.

Sounds like so much fun! I have heard so much about the game, although I've never played it. Coming to your home would be a treat for these busy ladies. I can hear the laughter now. Which chex mix to you serve? What a nice gift you created.

thanks for letting me know in your comment on my blog. Our kids are the same age...well, I have one older one, too. Have fun at Bunco!

Hey Stacy, I don't know for sure that it was the banner....I went to a helper forum and this was suggested as the problem. It was only after I deleted a bunch of Html gadgets I had added that it seems to be working again. It was either the header, a stat counter, or some "buttons" from other bloggers that must have done it. still don't know for sure....

Hi Stacy!! I love your little cloche! Glad you have so much fun! I'd like to have some fun too! :0
To answer your question, I just went online and typed in over the door clothes hangers and the sight came up and I ordered two. There were about $12 each. Pretty good deal!
Be a sweetie,

Tonight's my Bunco night too.
Ladies, if you haven't ever played with a 12 of your closest friends, you're missing out on a great time.

We look forward to it every month.
We're loud, sometimes bawdy, but always have a great time. We have such a good time our subs come just to visit even when they're not needed to play. We've been done it now for about 4 years, and have no desire to stop.

My mom is in two bunco groups and has had me substitute. I was shocked at how vicious, refined women with manicured nails can be.
I do not think they have bunco in Georgia - at least I have not heard of a group.
Still laughing at your comment on my blog - I tend to rewash those pennies also.

How nice to have a group of friends that have been together through all of those different phases of life. I haven't played bunco, but know many people who do and they all say it is simple and fun. They have all played for money, but never won a cute cloche like yours. How fun!!
