Just Saying Hi

Hi Everybody. I haven't had much inspiration to share this week on the decorating front. Several of you have been extremely sweet to ask about my kitchen. It isn't completed. My picture that I ordered is in to be framed now and it will take two weeks.

Then there's a kitchen table issue. My husband stole it! He works from home. He has been officing out of an armoire and finally decided it just wasn't working at all. He wants a large flat surface so he took my table! The nerve!

Now there is one problem...As much as I love to decorate I despise furniture shopping!! I must prevail though.

I'm rambling...we have had weather that is so beautiful you just wouldn't believe it. We've cleaned out the flower beds, scalped the bermuda, etc. Right now I'm looking out the window at snow!! Yes, I'm telling the truth. It probably won't stick but it is falling.

Now one more thing I wanted to share. I have a little part time job that started yesterday and goes through the end of April. I'm very happy to be tutoring reading at the school I used to teach in. It was so much fun to go in and see the kids yesterday! I'm pretty excited.

You're so funny about your husband stealing your kitchen table :-)

Your new job sounds like it will be fun.

Hope your snow doesn't last long. We have been having high 70s and even low 80s, but tomorrow is only supposed to go into the 40s.

I don't much like shopping period. Unless it's at the antique mall. I hate to clothes shop or grocery shop. Too many crowds. At the antique mall it's usually very serene.

Hey Pillow Girl! Good for you on the job front!! Our weather here has been back and forth. Sorry about the table :(( But hey, I'm sure you can find a use for that empty armoire now!
Btw, since you're into pillows, I'm lookin' for a little (neckroll size, but not a neckroll if yq know what I mean - if not, you're not alone LOL!) in a leapard print with a little bling around the edges. Any ideas where I can find one?? ~Kim

We are having fluctuations in our weather also. One time it is warm and sunny and the next day, snowflurries. As for your part time job, you seem to be the perfect person for that job. I bet the children love having you read to them, with your enthusiasm and warm smile.

Oh goody, you get a new table!!! I love to get new stuff too, but I also hate to shop for it. I just want it to show up at my door and be exactly what I want! I hope this is the last of the cold weather...I'm ready for it to be warm and it seems like we are just being teased with a little warm, back to cold, now a little more warm and then some more cold!
blessings,
Wendy

Snow? Wow, we have been getting rain and I'm so glad it didn't snow. Peach and plum blosssoms on the trees. The weather has been really beautiful. Have a great time shopping and may you find your perfect table quickly.

It was in the teens here this morning...brrr and with blowing snow!

I was a teacher before kids...it's so fun to go into the school. Once a teacher, always a teacher, I say.

I've been looking at Amish made tables...I want a new one that seats 10 with ease.

Have fun furniture shopping. It is my absolute love. I would rather shop for furniture than clothes. Have fun with your job! I love helping my kids over at their school, isn't working with kids so much fun!

Congratulations on your job! And I'm with you on furniture shopping - it can be pretty boring. Just keep thinking about what it will all look like once you get it home! :)

Congrats on the part time job! Sounds like something you really enjoy, that's wonderful.

And if you don't mind, I'd love to go furniture shopping for you. That is one of my favorite things to do. My husband and I go to furniture stores and look around, even when we have nothing to buy. lol Can't wait to see what you get!

Hi Stacey! I'm with you I can't stand shopping for furniture!!! Especially when the sales people follow on your heals! BUT you'll just have to if Hubby won't give it back!!!lol Part-time work is great because it allows some time to still blog!??? but makes you feel like you are still keeping your brain up and running and avoiding blog fog!!lol at least for me anyway! Have a great time at work and get a good nights sleep; you'll be needing it I'm sure with those kids around you all day!!! Best Wishes - Jeannette

Oh, I want a Dick and Jane book so badly, but I refuse to pay the prices that are being asked! These pictures just made me want one that much more (but I'll hold out for a bargain). If you ever see any at a bargain price, grab them, and I'll buy them from you. laurie
