Magical Monday

Good Morning Friends!
I'm calling this magical Monday because I'm working on the power of positive thinking. That's one of my goals for 2009.

I've been very busy cleaning my kitchen and putting things back to normal. I'm sure you have too. There's nothing like the feeling of a kitchen that is freshly cleaned and polished. I like things put away and not very cluttered. I get this bazaar happy feeling from a freshly scrubbed sink.

Weird, I know.

I wanted to share this little beauty with you. Santa Clause gave me these gorgeous glasses for Christmas. They came from Lidy's shop The French Garden House. I'm borrowing the picture from her website because it's hard to get a picture that shows how truly beautiful they are. You should visit her blog also. Lidy is very sweet and her place is a wonder to look at.

What's on your agenda this week? I'm going to continue putting things back to normal. I'd like to say it's all done but we've done a lot of relaxing around here...so there's still stuff laying around. Plus, my little dachshund woke up yesterday with her back legs not working. We've already been to the vet this morning. She got a big shot of prednisone and some pills. Poor baby. Back to work now. I hope you all have a wonderful day. :)

I sure hope your little baby is doing better. We are going to the vet today too. My baby who never drools is having a problem with that. Hopefully just a sore in his mouth or something like that. I'm sure your kitchen looks beautiful and clean. Wish you were here to do mine:) Twyla

Hi Stacey! I love your new glasses and I love a shiny sink too, although I haven't seen it in 3 weeks. Oh, poor little doggie, I hope all will be okay. Did you find out why his little legs weren't working? Take care!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Hi Stacey,
So good to talk to you! I know what you mean about having a clean kitchen. There is nothing quite so wonderful, is there? Ohhhhh poor baby doxie. I really hope your doxie is okay and that the prednisone helped. My little guy is actually feeling sort of under the weather too with a sore back. They are so cute, but their backs really can be an issue for them. I hope she is on the mend soon! Amy

Stacey,

Do you have a stainless steel sink? I just heard about "Bar Keepers Friend" for scrubbing stainless sinks. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas for getting stainless sinks very CLEAN & SHINY!

Your glasses are beautiful, and I love those sweet pear cannisters too!

I'm off now to box up the very last bits of my holiday decor...I have been dragging my feet about doing it the last few days and relaxing too much :-)

Oh Stacey, I'm so sorry about your doxie. I have a shih tzu & his hind legs just quit working when he was 3. One night he was fine & the next morning, he was dragging them along behind him. After a very expensive operation, he's back to normal (he's 11 now). The vet told us that dogs like doxies, shihts, bassets, etc (any dog w/ long bodies & short legs) are very prone to back problems because a dog's legs is supposed to act as shock absorbers & if the dog has short legs, his back takes the brunt of jumps.

We sawed the bun feet off my leather sofa (that stung!) & bought the lowest bed we coud find to help soften some of those jumps.

Teach your dog to "let Mama help" & before you know it, it'll drop a toy off the couch & give you the same look Gizzy does me, "Are you going to get that or shall I?" ;o)

I'll keep your little doggie in my prayers. I knwo how important they are to us.

It sounds like you are doing pretty much the same thing at your house as I am doing over here. I totally agree on the clean sink and kitchen. The first place Christmas was deconstructed in my house was the kitchen. I feel like I can think better when it is in order. Strange, I know :-)

I do hope your little doggie will be okay.

Working on getting my house back in order too. It sure is a job but so worth it to get everything clean & fresh. Sorry to hear about your baby. Hope she gets better.

Cleaning the kitchen and refreshing the paint. I hope your puppy is doing better. I hate when they are sick. Trying to get back to normal, but better... is a good goal.

Hi Stacey,
What beautiful glasses and pear canisters. Nice gifts.

Believe me I can relate as I am an organization fanatic and clean freak.
I don't even have a messy garage or attic. I am always donating or or pitching things out. Almost to the point of missing things later on because I got rid of them too quickly..OOPS...

Thanks for the tip on the cleaner. I have been using Apple Cider vinegar and warm water to mop our hardwoods and boy is it
a-ma-zing! They just gleam.

I'm glad Molly is doing better.
Have a wonderful day.
~Melissa :)
