Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday

Good Morning Friends.

This is my very first time to participate in Tablescape Tuesday. Our hostess is Susan at Between Naps on the Porch

Let me just say that for the past couple of months I wake up on Tuesday morning, grab my coffee, and run for the computer. You girls just amaze me with your attention to details that would never cross my mind. So I'm giving it a try.

First let me ask, "Would you like a cup of coffee? I usually have Diet Coke too but somebody scarfed it down."

The table is set for six. I called and invited college son and his roommates home for dead week supper. Of course, there is no commitment. They may come and they may not.

I purchased these plates at Target years ago when we were having a party. The back says Sakura Magic of Santa. The dinner plates are white with the ring of trees around the outside. The salad plates have various Santas on them. It's always a fun thing for me to switch out my every day dishes to these the day after Thanksgiving.

This platter stays in the middle of the table all the time. I just switched out the plate that is on the plate stand. It's easy to scoop the platter out of the way if needed.

Now last but not least is my cat Fluffy having a little treat. Brenda, I know I shouldn't..I can't help it!!

Everyone have a wonderful day and I will be around to visit you.

I had to come back and post after you visited my blog. I noticed son goes to OSU? I live in Louisiana now but grew up in Tulsa. I'm a Boomer Sooner fan but that was quite a game with OSU.

Don't you love blogging and looking at all the pretty things?

Hi Stacey! Your tabletop is so cute! I love it. And what a sweet idea to put the plate in the middle. The flower is so pretty, too. :)

Your table looks great! I had to also comment that if you haven't been to Home Goods, you must go to their website and search for the nearest one to you and go sometime. Or look for one near where you may be travelling some time. YOU WILL LOVE IT. They have dishes like the ones you have and so, so, so much more. It is always different there and you never know what you will find. The Inspired Room has a great post on Home Goods and how it is a store for the "Hunter/Gatherer" type (like moi).

Have a super day!

Hi, Brenda (View From the Pines) sent me over to see your blog. Love your jolly tablescape!
I read your post yesterday, isn't it lovely that our husbands are so attentive, if only to our eating habits! hahaha!

Actually, my kitties seem to be able to eat more table scraps than my dogs. It's just the dogs that have such finicky stomachs. (Psst! My cats have been eating both turkey and roast beef this past week. Don't tell the vet!)

The table looks awesome! Love the plates and how you accessorized (is that how that's spelled?) the middle. I'm going to have to check out more of these tablescapes 'cause I find it hard to do.

I love those plates; you did a lovely job on your table! I like that you share w/ the cat; my family has a fit that I have the dogs eat off the "good" plates, or any plates at all! They go in the dishwasher, don't they?

Hi Stacey,

I love this table setting. And I think it's such a great idea to have the platter as the base for rotating decorations. brilliant!

What a pretty table. I wish I had breakfast at your table. My dog is not better than your dog. Besides, I have three of those suckers and they are a hoot. I am going to try to participate in Tablescape Tuesday, next week. Wish me luck.
