Tailgating OSU Style

Saturday a group of us gathered on the campus at Oklahoma State University to tailgate before the game. We had chili, fritos, and all the goodies that go with it. I'm still so full!! Cynthia made these brownies and frosted them. Pretty spiffy for tailgating, don'tcha think?

This is Cheryl all bundled up. In true Oklahoma fashion it was very windy and we were cold. Thank goodness for blankets and sweatshirts. You can see the duck pond on the campus behind Cheryl. It's very pretty. There are lots of Cypress trees and their knobby knees are sticking up out of the water and ground.

My husband Paul was one of the chili cooks. He always makes this recipe that won the Terlingua Pride chili cook off years ago. I will try to share it soon. John also made chili but I don't seem to have a picture.

This is Cynthia and her son Evan. Evan is a freshman at OSU.

Mark and Paul posing for the camera.

Our OSU student Spencer. He didn't even hang with us very long because he was freezing. I love this blue eyed boy!

There were several others in our group that I missed taking a picture of. Sorry guys.

Now as you know OSU did not win. Darn!! I will let you in on a secret - we came home to watch the game on TV (no tickets). I was so glad to be home and warm. :)

We went to OU. My husband is an avid OU fan. I just try and stay away from the loud TV! He was so excited that OU won. I was just glad he wasn't moping around all day today. I'm not a sport fan, as you can tell!

I'll have to admit it was hard to see OSU lose last night...I'm a Texas girl, and in my book everybody who plays OU should beat them! My mom and I were having a real hard time rooting for the Sooners...as you know their win increased UT's chances of being named conference champs!
