Oh Tardevil

Oh Tardevil, I'm so glad you sent me this tag!! Let me confess the reason. Since I started this blog addiction I never read a book anymore!! It's so embarassing to admit that because I used to burn through books daily. My head is hanging low.

Here's the rules:

1) Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56.

OK. Here goes..our computer sits at college son's desk. Can you guess what the book is?

2) Write out the 5th sentence, as well as two to five sentences following...

"But the owl lay motionless and pathetic as a toy on the floor of her cage. He could not take it in, and his terror for the others was paramount. He glanced over his shoulder and saw a mass of people moving, flares of green light, two pairs of people on brooms soaring off into the distance, but he could not tell who they were-"

Now, do you recognize the book? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Did the brooms give it away?

I'm passing this little game on to:

Brenda at View from the Pines. Brenda lives in Texas!! Makes me miss my homeland! She takes the most beautiful pictures ever!

Nancy you give it a try too if you aren't too busy shopping and decorating.

Carrie, grab a book and get busy!!

BJ, put down that JCPenney catalog for a minute and share a book. :) Have you seen her bedroom? She's working on a project.

Ms. Tee which book is sitting close to you? Everyone go check out her pumpkin bread/cake recipe. Mmmmm!!

Amy, have you packed up all of your books? If not, join in. You girls need to see what Amy is up to. Packing and moving...can't wait to see how she decorates her new lodge style home.

Have a wonderful weekend friends.

Ok, mine's a dictionary that my son was using! haha :)

"But do not capitalize these derivations if they are used as integral elements of compound words having their own distinct meanings: chinese red (i.e., a specific shade of red)
moroccan leather (i.e., a specific kind of leather)"

I actually had forgotten this rule! I love the music, by the way - James is my all-time favorite. :)

Stacey...you are too funny. My husband gets on the computer and he says I hover to get back on my blog! It does take a bit of time doesn't it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend.

Happy Friday Stacey,
You are so sweet to mention me...Yes, I did pack up all my books, if you can believe it. They actually were the first thing I packed. I have soooo many books. I hope you have a fabulous weekend! One more week until closing, and then I can decorate until my hearts content..:) Thanks for being a lovely respite in the midst of my thousands of boxes. LOL! Amy

What a fun tag! I think I am the only person in the world who has not read or seen a Harry Potter book or movie!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have had fun reading through some of your past posts. Hope you visit again soon.

Hi Stacey! Congratulations on the readers tag! You're a funny one this morning. I haven't read the Harry Potters, but my daughter would stand out in the dead of night in the snow waiting for the shop to open to buy the newest release! ;)
Oh, thank you for stopping by. Galveston is a great place to live, but it's rather devastated right now. I know it'll get better.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
