A Little Excitement

About three years ago a beautiful new Super Target was built about 2 miles from my house. Now let me just tell you that this situation is dangerous!! It got to the point that I was spending too much money there so I put myself on a "Limited Visitation" status with good ol' Super Target.

Yesterday I allowed myself to go and hang out - I needed some food! Truly!

I had time to just roam a little and it was so much fun! I just really took my time and enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells. Christmas is out in full force, of course...they skipped Thanksgiving.

The music was playing carols. The Christmas trees were all decorated beautifully. There were lots of candles or something that smelled spicy.

I roamed through the toy department for awhile. I have a 7 year old nephew so I have an excuse to be there. I looked at dishes, clothes, books, you name it!

It was just an enjoyable hour with no purpose. Do you ever do that?

I was there the day after Halloween and Christmas music was playing. I love checking out the clearance in Target. Thanks so much for being my blogging friend. I love, love, love your blog.

Morning, Stacey! Oh, yes, I do that too. There are some stores I just have to stay away from for a while! I go bananas!! Now, you didn't say if you bought something!
lol
Thanks for coming to see my haunted house!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

We live closer to a Wal Mart. Although it's not as "fancy" as Target (pronounced as if in French), and there's no Starbucks in it, I do find myself wanting to go there and wander the aisles when I need to get away.

It's called Shopping Therapy! :-)

Well, it starts as an hour with no purpose & ends up with Tar carrying 3-4 shopping bags. All of those pretty holiday dishes are killing me! I'm feeling my credit card magnet pull me as I type! And I haven't even seen the Christmas decor yet!

I LOVE Target. They just built a super Target near me. I haven't been there yet...but yes, sometimes I go what we used to call window shopping. I like to do it alone. I find I get a lot of ideas for decorating with things I already have when I do that. It is definately enjoyable!!

I love shopping when I don't buy anything, just look. It's fun and doesn't cost a thing! I might spy something I like & wait to buy it on clearance.

I totally do that too...it is so relaxing, especially without children riding in the cart with me! :) Maybe I will pay Target a visit today?

Target is definitely a place to get me in some BIG trouble! I so enjoy looking and BUYING the stuff I fall in love with there. Soooooo, I don't go to Target very often. I go maybe once a month.

Christmas stuff already, huh? As I was writing things in my calendar this morning...I was shocked to see that there's only SEVEN weeks before Christmas is here!

Sounds like fun. Just might have to make a trip over to our Super Target that is close to here too.

I just ran across your blog and had to comment. I love Target! It's the place that I choose to go and "window shop" without the kids and hubby. I look at it all. Even if I never purchase it, it's still so much fun to browse around.

Hope you have a chance to stop by my blog...http://thissoutherngirlsnest.blogspot.com/

ummmm...one of my favorite things to do. We have a Super Target not too far from my house and I love to go look, then have a coffee or hot chocolate and just think about it all. Alas, tho....I nearly ALWAYS find something to buy!! TJMAXX is another store that I have to stay away from for as long as I can. I can nuts in there...

I have a real problem with stores that sell groceries AND home decor. If I go for groceries, I end up in the home decor department, and by the time I leave, I have no money left for groceries! I try to do all my grocery shopping in stores that don't sell televisions, since one time, at Wal Mart, I found a great deal on a t.v. while grocery shopping, and we didn't have food in the pantry for several weeks. laurie
