I Can't Resist

The ol' preschool teacher in me just can't resist these songs. I bet you know them...I dare you to sing them with your family. Do you know the hand motions?

Mr. Pumpkin
(tune: Where is thumbkin)
Mr. Pumpkin,
Mr. Pumpkin,
Round and fat.
Round and fat.
Harvest time is coming.
Harvest time is coming.
Yum, yum, yum.
That is that!

Pumpkin song
(tune: I'm a little teapot)
I'm a little pumpkin
Orange and round.
Here is my stem,
There is the ground.
When I get all cut up,
Don't you shout!
Just open me up
And scoop me out!

Pumpkin Song
(tune: Have you ever seen a lassie?)
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin,
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?
A round one, a tall one, a fat one, a small one.
Have you ever seen a pumpkin, that grows on a vine?

All of these were found at the DLTK website.

You and I have soooo much in common. I also went to college with a degree in preschool teaching! Although I ended up taking a different road after graduation, I have a lot of memories of my teaching experience. Who knew? I know those songs very well. I can even see the children doing the hand motions to the songs. So funny! Amy

I love the Christmas layout!!! Now, I've never heard that version of those songs before, so the question is, do I show them to my daughter w/ the photographic memory? I'm not sure I want to hear them on my 5 hour ride to the beach. Hmmmm...what to do??? Happy Turkey Day!
