I Know You Are Out There

Dear Lurking Reader,

I know you come to visit because you tell me in person that you do. (Plus there's a counter that tells me how many hits there have been). For a year before I started this blog I was a lurker too. I creeped around silently on blogs that you see listed over on that side bar. Over time these bloggers, whom I have not been lucky enough to meet in person, started to seem like friends. Even though they didn't know I was there. I do realize that sounds bizarre.

Here's the thing ...I've discovered that it's so much more fun when this is interactive. My blog has no purpose except that it's talking, cooking, decorating, family life, etc. I just really enjoy it.

Do me a favor and leave comments! My ever supportive husband says that comments are just an ego boost. Pooey on him. I like to talk to people!! If you have good ideas that we should blog about let me know.

Signed a Reformed Lurker

I am happy to say that I just discovered your blog! It is a delight. I am also happy to say that I am Not a lurker, I am a Commenter! I always think, "What would it hurt just to say hi!" Because I see our counter going up and the comments do not reflect it. I will add you to our side bar and will be visiting you often! Have a nice day! Twyla

Stacey,
I totally love this post. I also feel that a lot of times I don't get any comments on my blog even though the counters show I have a lot of regular visitors. Comments make my day too and is sooooo important to making a blog interactive. Your blog is lovely! Keep up the great work. Amy :)

You're so right about that! Comments mean so much more than just an ego boost. It's always so great to "meet" new people and the ideas and inspiration are always flowing. Plus, when someone is kind enough to leave me a comment, I always discover a fabulous new blog that I may have not otherwise found!

Thank you for visiting me and for always leaving such kind comments! They are always appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Erin ♥

I agree... lurkers are always welcome but it's so much more fun when you can make a new friend. I have become so close with many. I know kids and dogs names. I know bathroom colors... lets just say you get close. My husband gets it now. My friends are a big part of who I am today. I love all of yall!

I too love the interaction. I'm not very social in real time, but put me online and I'm right at home!

Hi Stacy,

I love the look and feel of your blog...very welcoming!! I rarely have time to lurk, let alone leave comments on other people's blogs, but I know how much they mean! Thanks for stopping by to visit me and I look forward to more visiting back and forth!
